Saturday, November 25th Odessa Montour's National Honor Society participated in a group project in Corning. Four out of five members and one prospective member volunteered as crowd control for Corning's Parade of Lights.

Wishing all of our Grizzlies a Happy Thanksgiving!

We had three Sr. High students attend Zone 15's Sr. High Area All State this past weekend (11/17 and 11/18). Cassie Allen and Mars Rogers participated in the mixed chorus, and Isaac Hough participated in the concert band. All the students performed well, and the concert was excellent!
The directors that worked with the students had wonderful experiences and knowledge to share with them. Thank you for making this opportunity possible for our Area All State and NYSSMA Solo Festival students. It is a great way for them to grow in their musicianship, and I know these are experiences that they enjoy.

OMCSD Art teacher, Kyle Moser, had the opportunity to share one of his commissioned pieces on display in NYC with our students today.

OMCSD High School students are spending the day in NYC today visiting several museums. The live updates from Mr. Strobel indicate they are having a great experience.

8th grade student Khloe Dean represented OMCS at the Zone 15 Jr. High Area All-State Music Festival this past weekend (Nov.3/4). She was well prepared and participated in a successful choral performance with other select vocal students from our region.

Congratulations to Coach Jason Westervelt and the Schuyler Storm Girls Varsity Swim Team who won their 7th Section IV title over the weekend. The Storm is a merged athletic team of OMCSD and WGCSD athletes.

Happy World OT Day!

Thank you to all the families, teachers, and students that made this year at Hanlon Elementary such a success. Have a great summer!

Because of the potential for rain this afternoon and into this evening, we have decided that Graduation will be held indoors in our auditorium. We are fortunate to have a large seating capacity in the auditorium and we are confident that all of our graduates' families and friends will find enough seating to enjoy our ceremony. Just a few details and reminders for this evening:
Doors to the auditorium will open at 5pm.
Graduates should meet in the Jack Davis Gym at 5:15pm and faculty who are participating should meet at 5:45pm. Graduation will start promptly at 6pm.
Following graduation, there will be a reception in the high school cafeteria.
We look forward to a wonderful evening celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2023!

Tonight we celebrated OM Class of 2023 Valedictorian Katie Adams and Salutatorian Tori Brewster at the 16th Annual Southern Tier Scholars Recognition Program.

Food was the theme of the day today. Students enjoyed a tailgate breakfast this morning! Our Spanish students and faculty enjoyed empanadas for lunch!

Due to potential inclement weather tomorrow, field day for Grades 5 and 6 will be moved to Thursday, June 15th at 8:30am. We will be combining 5th and 6th grade field day with the already scheduled 3rd and 4th grade Field Day.

Due to the air quality index, the district will keep all activities inside today including recess and PE classes. All outside windows will remain closed as well. We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day today and tomorrow.

The last day of school for the Junior/Senior High School is TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2023. After June 13th students in Grades 7-12 only attend school if they are taking a Regents Exam.

Congratulations to our OM athletes who headed to the NYS Qualifiers for track and field this week. They are: Hannah Nolan, Tori Brewster, Evvie Zinger, Paisley Jeziorski, Olivia Barr, Jackie Mace, Sarah Strobel, David Patterson, Ben Campbell, Lucas Barr, Zach Wyre, and Isaac Hough. We are very proud of them for achieving this level of competition.
